Hi folks,
I saw an article recently asking whether AI can capture your best angle better than you can, and I’ve been thinking about it. On one hand, AI algorithms have tons of data and can analyze facial symmetry, lighting, head tilt, and so on, which could help pick out a really flattering angle. But on the other hand, there’s something personal about choosing your own angle — you know what you feel good about, what expresses your character, not just what’s “mathematically ideal.” So I’m torn: is AI objectively better at this, or is it missing something that only you, as a person, can bring to your own photos?

I agree with both of you. AI’s strength is definitely in analyzing features and producing a polished, “ideal” result, especially when you want a clean, professional look. But for more creative or personal portraits, your own intuitive sense of how you want to be seen still matters. Also, there are practical considerations: using AI means trusting the service with your photos, which raises privacy concerns. \

That’s a really good point. I actually tried using an AI headshot generator you can check one open this page to experiment. It was surprisingly good at suggesting angles and cropping that made my face look more balanced and professional. But I didn’t feel like those images fully captured my personality.
