Hi folks,
I’ve been watching the AI poker landscape change pretty rapidly, and it’s honestly kind of wild. Back in the day, poker bots were clunky and easy to spot — they’d either fold too often or act like complete maniacs. Now, I’ve seen AI play near-perfect GTO and still adjust to opponents. It’s scary-good. Do you guys think AI will eventually dominate every format, like multi-table tourneys or live-style games with weird human patterns?

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same. A couple of years ago, most bots were just pre-flop push/fold calculators and couldn’t handle post-flop complexity. But now, AI is blending exploitative strategy with GTO in a way that’s surprisingly nuanced. It’s not just about solving the game anymore — it’s about learning it in real time. What I find super fascinating is how some bots are actually training on human data now, picking up bluff frequencies and pattern recognition in ways that even seasoned players don’t consciously realize. There’s a great write-up about this shift in direction here: https://aipokerbot.com/blog/ — it breaks down how newer AI systems aren’t just solving poker like a math problem but playing dynamically depending on opponent tendencies. That makes me wonder: will we ever draw a line between "smart tool" and "unfair advantage"? Because we’re getting really close to that edge.

Interesting takes. I think as long as poker has that human uncertainty factor — like random emotions or tilt — there’ll always be room for actual people. But yeah, the AI curve is getting steep.
