Hi folks,
A friend of mine said that he once had a link posted on Reddit, and a week later his site saw a spike in traffic. I don’t quite understand how it works — Reddit isn’t a commercial platform. But it seems like these “social” backlinks have some kind of impact. Searching for similar topics on your own is a quest. How do you find such platforms without burning down your domain?

Yeah, Reddit can definitely cause spikes, even unintentionally. I remember posting a question on a niche subreddit and ended up with a few hundred visitors the next day. The trick seems to be in getting natural backlinks in forum discussions that actually match your topic. That way it doesn’t feel forced and still gives your domain a nudge.
